Please help! Accidentally submitted a Non-Filer form

Did this actually work for you, or do you think this will work?

Please help! Accidentally submitted a Non-Filer form

Yes I’ve read others post. I went ahead and printed out my 2019 taxes and I’ll try mailing since I can’t efile bc of the non filer form I submitted.

I went in and deleted info on form but it still wouldn’t allow me to efile. I did my 2019 taxes and printed them so I can try to see if mailing them does me any good

But did your stimulus come? Also are you doing a 1040x or just normal 1040?

Please help! Accidentally submitted a Non-Filer form

No stimulus check yet. I just did the regular 1040. I’ve read that I should prob be doing 1040x... just from what I’ve been able to google.

1040X is complex enough under regular circumstances.

Unless you are very familiar with 1040X and its instructions, you should avoid it if possible.

I'd suggest you write on top of 1040 in bold letters.

"Filed after using non-filers portal"

IRS will figure it out.

I am on the same boat. Appears the only option left is to mail the forms to IRS.

Yes. This worked for me deleting it.  But they also rejected it.  Since I already filed 2019 with my husband.

I had decided to file my taxes married before I went on to the site of my payment or non filers. Just to make sure I got the 2400.

I did read they are not touching any paper forms they receive in the mail due to Corona Virus.

What about if we just mail the filed and signed federal and state tax returns?

Would that be a mistake?

Please help! Accidentally submitted a Non-Filer form

I accidentally did this as well and would appreciate if someone knows how to fix! I really want to get my tax return.

I messed up and did the Non-Filer form, I did it so I could submit my direct deposit information so I could get the stimulus check I didn't realize Get My Payment was to submit that info, I thought Get My Payment was to check staus! I deleted the the Non-Filer form but it still says status not available in Get My Payment. I filed my 2018 last year but owed, haven't done my 2019 yet. Does anyone know if this mistake will be rectified by them mailing the stimulus check?

Please help! Accidentally submitted a Non-Filer form

I did the exact same thing. I have the same situation as you. I also owed last year is why I submitted my info to non filer.

My Payment status JUST (yesterday) updated to now showing my payment will go to the correct bank info. account. It was about 2 weeks after I did not file and submitted bank info.

BUT, I went to actually file with turbo, figured I'd get it out of way (my status hadn't updated yet) and I found out I can't electronic file now because submitted non file.

Everything I'm reading says we'll have to 1040x on paper.

Is there an electronic 1040x?

NO.  The federal amended tax return, Form 1040X, can only be printed, signed, dated and mailed by you to the IRS.  It cannot be e-filed per IRS rules.
