I want to be able to edit some of my short term transactions but the bulk edit feature only allows you to edit limited number of fields. How can I see every transaction and every field I completed on one screen. This was how it was done in 2023. It makes it extremely difficult to update any mistakes made. Has anyone figured out a way to do this without having to figure out what form the detail transactions reside that you can update? For example, I updated 30 stock short term transactions and made errors on Wash sale loss for 5. Bulk edit does not display this field if you try to correct it. I also made the mistake of saying that all cost based transactions were reported to IRS but they were not. Bulk edit does not allow you to correct this across 30 trabsactions.
What is the fix here?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
In the Income section, scroll down the list of topics to Investments, and choose Update next to Stocks, Bonds, etc. On the next screen, click the down arrow next to the entry you want to edit, and choose EDIT.
If you click this, the next screen will show a Pencil Icon you can click to display your entries for editing.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, you can also edit directly on the form in FORMS mode.
If you imported your transactions, here's more info on How to Update or Delete Imported Data.
If you can't resolve this, post again and we'll try to help. You can also Contact TurboTax Support for more help.
I'll give it a try over the weekend and advise if this works. Thanks for your response and new feature.
