My 2020 tax return rejected due to mailing in tax return backlogging

Hi guys,

my 19's IRS transcript shows "verification of non-filing of returns". I called IRS. They told me that the file by mail is backlogging, so there is no data for my return (but my check has been cashed). 

I am working on the tax return this year and try to e-file, they reject my filing by "Reject Code IND-031-04".

What should I do? is the file by mail the only option I have right now?

Try entering 0 for the AGI since 2019 is not in the system yet.   I even saw $1 worked if you filed a non-filer return.

If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it.

Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
