I'd love to discuss my taxes, but what is happening is that I cannot open the 2025 Turbotax app I purchased.  All efforts lead to an ad that is basically a bait and switch ad for the desktop version of Turbotax that I purchased from Amazon.  I am not interested in the ON LINE version or I would have purchased that.  Tjhere is not support here and I am furious.

Hello, I am trying to do my 2025 tax refund. Whenever I try to pay either Apple Pay or regular card payment, there is an error. I tried chrome, safari, and even the TurboTax app. Yes I checked the cookies in the browser and I even switched back to my American address but nothing works. Please help, what can I do?

They'll fix that with an update, probably soon.

Let's be clear, you cannot file your taxes if you are itemizing and have charitable contributions until Turbot allows you to input and is giving no date to when the update or whatever you want to call it is done.  The new tax bill was passed on July 4, did the software development go on holiday for 6 months?

OK, let's be clear then. You CANNOT FILE your taxes until TurboTax officially starts accepting returns and the IRS starts accepting returns for filing (the latter would be toward the end of this month - call it at least 3 weeks from now).

I have purchased turbotax for the last 10 years and I always download the software to my mac computer. This year it seems that I am to do my taxes online... is that the way it is suppose to work or can I download software if I want to

No, preparing your taxes online with TurboTax is just one option. You can still purchase and download the desktop products to prepare your return on your Mac (provided your Mac meets the system requirements),

@bmjcombine If you want to use the TurboTax software on a Mac computer, the Operating System for the Mac must be macOS Sonoma 14 or later.
