I am really confused. I originally purchased turbo tax deluxe order # qstca265117901 as I was going to do my taxes as usual and have a tax preparer do and submit a return for our trust fund. Meeting with preparer I was told it would be more beneficial to include schedule k with my personal returns. Since deluxe does not allow for schedule k I submitted and was granted a full refund on deluxe and I ordered and received turbo tax home and business order # qstca265940694 only to discover it also does not include schedule k. My fault for not doing more research. I am with great shame asking for a refund on the home and business desktop software. And my next question is why isn't trust fund filing included with home and business? Seems logical.
@pfmessinger Do you need to create a Schedule K-1 or do you need to enter a Schedule K-1 on your tax return?
If you need to enter a schedule K-1, any of the TurboTax desktop editions can be used.
To enter a Schedule K-1
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Scroll down to Business Items (Business Investment and Estate/Trust Income using Home and Business)
On Schedule K-1, Q, click on the start or update button
Or enter k-1 in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to k-1
If you need to create a Schedule K-1 for a Partnership or for a Corporation, then you will need to use the TurboTax Business Edition. The Business Edition can only be installed on Windows based personal computer or for a higher fee you can use the Live Assist Business Edition on the TurboTax website. The Business Edition cannot be used for a personal tax return.

I made $10,744.94 in gains in Forex trading. My broker is a Virgin Island Broker named OX Securities.
1. They do not provide me with a 1099. How do I file? I have set up a 1009-Misc. However, it wants an EIN. I do not have an EIN for/from them.
2. Form 6781: 12 (C) requires a Date closed or sold. I have not sold or closed anything. It remains in my OX broker account. What do I do here?
3. Form 6781: (a) Name of Contract - Would that be Ox Securites?
4. I have fees that I made to open and maintain the Forex account. Where do I enter information for my fees?
I would be very grateful for help on this! Thank you!
First of all, you wouldn't report this until you actually sell or close anything. The only exception is if you have to report these under the mark-to-market rules. These rules say you must treat open positions as if they were sold at fair market value at year-end. This ensures unrealized gains and losses are accounted for annually. if you are not sure whether this applies, chances are you aren't required to report this under marked to market rules.
If you are required, you will report this as 1256 contract. This would be reported in the Contracts and Straddles section in the investment income section of TurboTax.
Once this is all said and done, a 6781 will be generated reporting your gains as a Marked-to-Market entry. When you enter this information, you can give Ox Bow Securities as a description.
As an FYI, if you enter this information like a stock and bond or security sale, remove it from this section on the return. Forex transactions aren't reported in this manner.

How do I add a second license to a turbo tax that is already installed
@Fplett54 There is no need to add a second license. Adding a second license does not give you more e-files. The IRS limit is five federal e-files. You will not be able to put two 2024 downloads on the same computer--it will not work. The download you already have can prepare and e-file up to five federal returns and the state returns that correspond to them. If you have more returns you can print and mail them.
