Sometimes there are uninstalled WIN 10 updates hiding in the background that mess things up ... restart the computer at least 3 times to make sure everything is good then try the TT program again.

Did not work. I restarted 3x and the activation still hangs
I wanted to try to uninstall the program and reinstall it. Win10 Control Panel gave me the option to repair first, so I did that. Got this error:

Where in the heck did you get this copy of the TurboTax program from?
Google has no business in the Repair option under Windows 10.
Uninstall the program using the Windows uninstall program option.
Download the TurboTax program from this website, assuming you used TurboTax to purchase the software - https://shopping.turbotax.intuit.com/unified/downloads?route=myaccounts
I created the Google doc just to have a place to put the screenshot of the error I received. Google played no part in the repair of the TT file. I used Win10 / Control Panel / Uninstall Programs
When you click on "Uninstall this program" it gives you the option to either repair the file or uninstall it completely. I chose repair to see if that would fix the issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I downloaded the software from both Amazon and the Intuit site and installed/reinstalled both copies.
Still having the same problem. It will not authenticate.
Also interesting, a week before downloading TT Premier, I had downloaded and installed TT Business with no issues. I ran TT Business and filed a business return with no problem.
When I uninstalled TT Premier, it also uninstalled TT Business - I don't know why.
