Yes if you can finish and file before midnight your time zone.  So 1/2 hour for Eastern time.

You can still file after today. The IRS will always take your return. Filing after the due date may make a few extra penalties kick in if you owe the IRS; however, if you're getting a refund, penalties are based on what you owe. If owe nothing, penalty for filing late (after due date) is also nothing.

Today is the due date for your tax return.  If you anticipate you will owe taxes, if you do not file today, you will incur a penalty for not filing timely and also interest and penalties on the taxes you owed by the due date today.

If you think you will have a refund, there is no penalty to filing past today. You can file the return at any time and get the refund without penalty or interest being charged to you.

Good luck!

If you cannot e-file by midnight tonight in your time zone, you will not be able to e-file your 2019 return.

E-filing and online tax preparation shut down after the deadline tonight, so in order to finish preparing your return you will need to download the desktop (CD/download) software to finish entering your data.  Your return will have to be printed,  signed and mailed.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.

Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.

If you are getting a refund, there is not a penalty for filing past the deadline.  If you owe taxes, the interest/penalties will be calculated by the IRS based on how much you owe and when they receive your return and payment. The IRS will bill you for this; it will not be calculated by TurboTax.
