Hello, I bought the tax program for business that was supposed to include federal and one state. But now that I want to do the state it's telling me I need to download it and pay for it separately from the business program that I already paid for. Why is this happening?

Did you buy the Turbo Tax Business program or the Home & Business personal version?
For Turbo Tax Business You have to buy the state Business program separately from inside the federal program.
I purchased the home and business tax year with state for mac. So why is it asking me to pay for a state download?
I don't know. Maybe it thinks you already downloaded a different state for free? How much is it asking you to pay? There is a $25 fee to efile each state return including the first one. Call in for more help.

I called your support line and it did nothing to help this situation. The person I spoke with after having to deal with the automated system did not know how to help and instead provided me with a service code for some sort of credit or refund. I don't need a credit. I need for this thing to work and download the state software. I'm not trying to e-file. I need to fill out the forms for state and then I'll print them out and mail them as this is for a previous year. When I click on download the state, a screen pops up that is blank and it freezes the entire program so I don't know how much it will ask me to pay. I bought the download for home and business which is supposed to include a state program. Can someone help with this or not?

If this does not resolve the issue you will need to have customer service send you a download of the state you are needing.
