Linsay, We filed our taxes in February. I spent more to get help from Turbo Tax. After I finished we had a refund of $489 from Federal & $29 from state. Estimated to come to around March 7. Nothing came. I went in to check & there was a message that we made a mistake on our taxes and that we owe $1000+. Getting the information in mail. Not sure why Turbo Tax did not see this. Waiting for the mail to pay. Then I get a email from Turbo Tax telling us that we might get a reduction on our income from "unemployment". How does this work now.

If you are asking for help in getting this couple their refund, there isn't anything that TurboTax can do.
A whole lot of people are experiencing the same issue.
If you filed your 2020 taxes and haven't received your refund, your experience is very common - the IRS is encountering major delays in processing 2020 tax returns, and is almost impossible to reach by phone.
The IRS Where’s My Refund? site is still the best first place to go for information.
Why is this happening? Tax season (normally Jan 1 - Apr 15) is the busiest time of the year for the IRS. This year, they have also had to deal with major changes in the tax law, including ones that were passed retroactively in the past two weeks. They are also struggling with the same COVID workplace and workforce issues the rest of the country has encountered.
According to the Washington Post (Mar 12, 2021):
Nearly 7 million tax filers are in limbo and facing substantial delays in getting refunds so far this tax filing season, as the Internal Revenue Service struggles to keep up with the demands of issuing stimulus checks and implementing myriad tax code changes from coronavirus relief packages, including the one President Biden signed this week.
There are 6.7 million returns that have not yet been processed, more than three times the number in the same period last year, when fewer than 2 million returns faced delayed processing, IRS data shows.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
Or go to this IRS website for free federal tax return transcripts - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

TurboTax does not provide Tax Expert support for prior year tax returns.
To complete and file a 2019 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2019 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
A 2019 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed.
I need to add W-2
To add another W-2:
If you already filed your return, you need to amend it to add your W-2:
Wait until the IRS either accepts or rejects your return.
If the IRS rejects the return you can claim the deduction in the Deductions and Credits section and re-submit your return.
If the IRS accepts the return, wait until the return has been fully processed and then amend the return.
To amend your 2020 return:
1.Login to your account.
2.Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show),
select 2020 and then Amend (change) return.
3.Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
4 Follow the instructions. Don't worry if your refund changes to $0. This is normal on amended returns.
5.You can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
