Thank you so much, my taxes have been severely delayed and everytime I call it’s the same “due to extremely high call volume” and it just hangs up. This is the first time the phone has even rung through. Thank you again!!
Good morning I having problem with my taxes and I am getting sad because I can't fix this.
Need a number where I can talk to a human
Here are your options for contacting the IRS. It is very hard to reach a human being because the IRS has been overwhelmed with recent changes in the tax lawl ff you do get through, wait times are very long
IRS help lines are open Monday through Friday. Residents of Alaska and Hawaii should follow Pacific time. Phone lines in Puerto Rico are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time.

You can make an appointment at an IRS local office to get help. Appointment times vary by tax issues and office locations.
You can find the office closest to you with our Taxpayer Assistance Locator tool. Once you find your local office, see what services are available. Then, call 844-545-5640 to schedule an appointment.
I DID NOT NEED THE IRS NUMBER, I already called them and due to high call volumes they told me to try again. I need to know why the return to guys said was correct was not. The IRS adjusted my refund.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
Go to this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
All or part of your refund may have been used (offset) to pay off past-due federal tax, state income tax, state unemployment compensation debts, child support, spousal support, or other federal nontax debts, such as student loans. To find out if you may have an offset or if you have questions about an offset, contact the agency to which you owe the debt.
We also may have changed your refund amount because we made changes to your tax return. This may include corrections to any incorrect Recovery Rebate Credit amount. You’ll get a notice explaining the changes. Where’s My Refund? will reflect the reasons for the refund offset when it relates to a change in your tax return.
Tax Topic 203, Refund Offsets for Unpaid Child Support, Certain Federal and State Debts, and Unemplo... has more information about refund offsets.
Thank you. This is great detailed information. Lots of help.
Unfortunately I was told the lines were busy and to try again later, but at least I am close.
Can someone please call me about my taxes [phone number removed]
@Rebecca691 No one can call you from the user forum, nor do we arrange calls to or for you.
Phone support is not provided with the Free Edition. If you are using a paid version of the software or if you purchased PLUS you can get phone support when customer support is there. Otherwise, post your question here and someone will try to help.
To call TurboTax customer support

Customer support is available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time
I followed all the steps to finally get through and they said, the call volume is too large to handle my request and to try back another day- so frustrating
Understand the frustration, but the IRS has been overburdened due to issuing Stimulus payments and making adjustments for all of the tax law changes due to the CARES Act.
I did that & it said it was a hotline for amended tax returns. I went ahead & put my info in & it said it could not find it which makes sense, since mine is not an amended return. Someone please help.
