I filed electronically two weeks ago, but the IRS still hasn’t withdrawn the payment due from my bank account. Should I be concerned about this? Recommended actions?

Thanks Annette. How can I possibly verify the date that I specified the direct debit to take place? Perhaps I entered the date incorrectly, or perhaps I entered my bank account number incorrectly, but TurboTax keeps all of this information top secret and makes it impossible to review. Very frustrating.

How you selected to pay the taxes owed and the date of payment is on the Filing Instructions page and on the Federal Information Worksheet in Part V when you use Print Center to view or save as a PDF and use the option to include all worksheets.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2020 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

The direct debit will occur on or after the date you specified when you selected the direct debit option.

See the following TurboTax article for more information and advice:  When will my tax payment go through?

There is a phone number to call that is listed in the article if it has been more than 10 days after your return was accepted.

Thanks DoninGA, that workaround allowed me to find and confirm my bank information and intended withdrawal date. (I can't understand why TT would make it so complicated and counter-intuitive to recover that data.) The IRS was supposed to withdraw funds on March 26, 2021, but nothing has happened more than two weeks later. I'll have to try the IRS phone number in the article that Annette suggested above. Cheerio.
