I delete 'Form 8959' from the 'Review Form List' page, and get confirmation of deletion. Returning to the page, it is still there. How do I get rid of it so I can file?

When I go to file, it says I need to pay a $60 upgrade fee, due to the existence of Form 8959 (which I've deleted 10x now)

If the program is generating Form 8959, you owe additional Medicare Tax.

That is not an option and not something you can delete from your return.

According to the IRS:

“Medicare wages and self-employment income are combined to determine if your income exceeds the threshold. A self-employment loss shouldn't be considered for purposes of this tax. Railroad retirement (RRTA) compensation should be separately compared to the threshold.

Your employer is responsible for withholding the 0.9% Additional Medicare Tax on your Medicare wages or railroad retirement (RRTA) compensation paid in excess of $200,000 in a calendar year. Your employer is required to begin withholding Additional Medicare Tax in the pay period in which your wages or compensation for the year exceed $200,000 and continue to withhold it in each pay period for the remainder of the calendar year.

More information.

The IRS and the Treasury Department have issued final regulations (T.D. 9645) on the Additional Medicare Tax. The final regulations are available at IRS.gov/irb/2013-51_IRB#TD-9465. For more information on Additional Medicare Tax, go toIRS.gov/ADMT.”

HEY! You really aren't listening. You need to have a HUMAN BEING look at the code which is generating false 8959's. It truly looks like you are just trying to get people to upgrade in frustration to file a form we simply do not earn enough money for. OUR W-2's have withheld the proper amounts. We can do basic math. Make you product work or we will find another way to file our taxes for FREE as Congress intended and you will lose ALL our future business and everyone in our family.  Are we communicating now. Let us DELETE 8959!! Most of us have tried over 10 times. YOUR programs keeps putting back. WHY!??

I would suggest contacting Customer Support so that an agent can look over your return to help with this.
