Was you able to file your Maryland return?

Selecting override from where???

No not yet! Waiting on TT to resolve this for us online users.

I don’t want to have to re-key stroke all my Maryland info.  TT should clearly communicate

coordinate, and collaborate with us all who are impacted.

I just ran all my maryland info in the efile if I do it through the state it’s 1500 less than with TT. I need them to fix this soon.

i was able to e-file my maryland taxes after following the directions of others on deleting numbers from the 8582.

i contacted by email yesterday the e-file section of the maryland comptrollers office. i gave my phone # and a lady called back quickly. i told her that there was a big issue with TT she was not aware of these issues and that she would take from there.

I got great news the forms should be fixed by Feb 10, I just got off the phone with TT and they are all projecting that efile for multiple states will be available on Feb 10.

I just got off the phone with TT they said it should be fixed, if you are using the app you can efile nationwide on Feb 10.

It’s not a (Maryland) problem it’s a federal problem, multiple states are having the same problem trying to file the state. February 10 you can efile

This is what worked for me and I wish I had taken screenshots for you all.

So...In Google Chrome when the form 8582 pops up for you to fix you need to remove the 0 in line 9. The box is disabled by default so to enable it right click on the box wheere the 0 is, then click inspect, then you will see a piece cod for that textfield, click on that part that says something like,  disabled = "disable", delete that piece of code, hit enter! and then now you should be able to remove the 0 and leave that field blank. Hit continue and you should be good to go. It didnt work the first time for me but it did the second time.

Hope this helps.

I found that you can bypass the 8582 error by using right click, inspect, and editing the code for the "0" in the top left corner of the 8582 Form and the "0" in box 9. I'm using a macbook and I'm not sure how that would look on PC.

You can delete the zero from both areas using the inspect dialog box. It should bypass Form 8582 and will file both the State and Federal return.

@conor33 , i can inspect and remove the code and then the "0" from line 9, but i dont see any 0 in the upper left? do you have a picture? when I only do the line 9, i still get a message below. I am beyond frustrated. Any more help is appreciated.

Your Maryland return is currently unavailable to print or download because some of the tax forms aren't ready for processing. You can preview the returns and sign up to get notified as soon as the tax forms are ready.
