Well, it’s about time! Maryland state return TRANSMITTED at 04:15 this fine morning. You got it fixed TT but you still have a responsibility to your customers. Ethically you should refund the software cost and e-filing fees that TT/Intuit charged this year. You had absolutely horrid communications with not only your customers but also your own customer service people. Leaving them to deal with the level of anger and frustration that accompanied the 8582 disaster without accurate and truthful information was absolutely deplorable. People want to blame unemployment and federal enhancements during COVID for people not wanting to return to work, but it’s behavior, a lack of respect for employees and honest and fair communications like you’ve displayed that has become so commonplace in our country that is the true reason. You didn’t create the problem but if most of your customer service people resign, such behavior is why.
6:15 am. Transmitted my VA return at long last. They should at least cover the $25 filing fee.
Thank you for sharing this information. Our team has been working to resolve an error message for the form availability of Form 8582 in the state return after the original date expected. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience this has caused. This should now be resolved. Please do try the return in Review and see if it will now pass without flags and allow you to file.
