I bought the turbo tax cd but I need to download. Does the cd come with a code to download from the internet?

While the CD doesn't come with a code, we can help you get the download version. You'll need to set up a TurboTax account (if you don't have one already), sign in, and contact us so we can push a download into your TurboTax account. Then you should be able to download the product onto your computer.

This year for 2019 you can also download the program if you bought the CD.  Like if you don't have a CD drive.  There should be a sheet in the box with instructions and the 14 digit License Code.

I bought the 2019 turbo tax cd as I do every year.  An access code does come with it, which is asked for before you start filing your return.  I do not know if this code would be needed to download turbo tax from the internet.

That link is how to transfer a 2018 return that is on your computer into the 2019 online version.  But it even has a typo.  The first sentence should say a file extension.tax2018 (not .tax2019).

The user wants to download the Desktop program not use the Online version.

There should be a card in the CD case that says how to download it and you will need the 14 digit code from it to enter.
