You’ll need TurboTax CD/Download to enter an amount in Schedule 1, line 8r. This is a manual entry.

Please follow these steps to enter fellowship income not reported on W-2:
Please see Are my scholarships, fellowships, or grants taxable? and Why is my Fellowship/Stipend not being allowed to be used for an IRA contribution? for additional information.
Thanks, but I don’t think this applies to my situation. Mine is not a school fellowship. I’m working for a research institute on a fellowship program. I only received a statement of payment, but no official IRS form. Based on 1040 instructions I know I have to put that income on Schedule 1, 8r, but there seems to be no options. The closest I see is to report is as other income such that it goes to the last section of Schedule 1 where I can add a description in a separate attachment to schedule 1 on TurboTax online. Or I can report is as other non W2 or 1099 income where TurboTax puts it in 1040 1h. Do you have any other suggestions?

I see, thanks for the information. I thought there might be a way to do it in the online version.
For what it's worth (I'm not an expert), I think the suggestion from DanaB27 should still work fine if you prefer the online version, even if not associated with a school. I used this method on TurboTax for my wife's fellowship grant, skipping the part where I add a school, and the only effect seems to be that turbotax entered that number of Schedule 1 line 8r. It didn't specify on the actual filing that it was attached to a school or anything like that.
This is an older thread you added on. The online version is fine. Follow these steps to add the fellowship income with a description:
