So my daughter was married last year and her and her husband filed joint. They mailed in their return. This year, when trying to efile, they are each asked to supply the AGI, but their joint AGI was rejected. There is no individual AGI to report, so how can they efile?
thanks
Meg
The IRS probably does not have their 2020 AGI in the database.
Have them enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.
So, our AGI is correct...verified it on the IRS site. How do we fix this so we can efile? We had this same problem last year also and I'm very frustrated.
Nope…still got rejected. I am at a loss how to fix this.
Please follow the instructions here to contact us by phone so we can look into this further. @psfrantz
