Same problem on my end. This has gone on with Turbo tax for past 3 years and they still don't have a fix. Customer support is a joke! It's H&R Block next year.
Are you receiving an error message when trying to pay with your credit card? If so, this is a known issue we are working to resolve. You can sign up for progress updates in the below TurboTax help article.
Why am I receiving an error message when I try to pay with a credit card?
No I'm not getting an error. I get a message that the card can't be processed and I should verify my address, cvv number, etc... This is a problem with Intuit rather than something on my end. There are numerous people voicing the exact same complaint on various internet sites including the Intuit site. Problem has gone on for at least 3 years now with no one in customer support having a clue as to how to resolve the problem. I'm fed up with it! Hard to believe that your IT dept can't come up with a fix as it doesn't seem like it would be that difficult.
If you do not believe it is related to the known issue, you will need to contact customer support by phone by clicking here. As we are unable to view your personal information to help resolve the issue in this public forum @jenders.
Already tried that and wasted about 3 hours on the phone with no solution. Don't you think it rather odd that the internet blogs are full of people citing the exact same problem that I have? It's not the problem with the 5 different credit cards that I tried. Your customer service rep had the exact same problem when trying to enter my cards on your end. I've used turbo tax for probably over 30 years but I'm definitely switching to H&R Block next year. Can't keeping wasting my time with a company that has an obvious ongoing problem for at least 3 years and can't get it corrected.
Same problem here. Seems like you're forcing me into having state submission charge to be deducted from my Federal Tax return- which will cost me another $40..

The "click here" link takes me nowhere.

That page goes nowhere. I filed my federal taxes but cannot file my 2 state returns because I cannot get any of my 4 credit cards to go through. I called like it said to do, stayed on hold for almost 3 hours after the first person said I could not pay over the phone and then the second one ended up putting me on hold and then disconnecting. I have never had an issue with TT before but I would like to file my state returns.
When you're dealing with TT customer support expect very little because that's what you likely will get.
Sorry for the inconvenience; speaking to a support agent over the phone is the best way to get assistance with this specific type of issue. In the meantime please review this FAQ @flyrsphl27.
I spoke with a turbo tax customer support person today that was able to solve the problem. Turns out Intuit had a hold on my account for some unknown reason. After removing the hold, the payment went thru. Took 4 calls to customer support to get it resolved which is still a problem but at least it got solved.
I have the same issue. I tried to enter several credit cards info to cover my CA State's e-file filing fee, but the error message came back that they can't process my credit card info and alert me to verify cc card #, exp date, and security code again. Still not working. Not a good program.
Clarissa:
My state tax return has a refund and still, your software wouldn't process the payment via credit card. Your answer above doesn't address the inherence issue your software with the state, in my case CA, payment fee YOUR COMPANY is charging, for e-file the state return. This issue appears to be more than an isolated one. Come on, your company sold millions of copies of the software. Please fix it!!!
