First time customer with 2023 premier. Entered all of last year's data to make sure taxes came out the same (done on Intuit pro-series). They did. When I went to remove all of last years numbers so that I could start to input this years I was unable to edit my stock sales on the "investment sales summary." How do I edit out those entries?

Are you using the Desktop program or the Online version? You shouldn't have entered 2022 info. For Online you can try to clear it out to start 2023. Or leave this account and set up a new account.
For the Desktop program you should start a new return. Go up to File-New.
And I don't see how you could get last year's data to match your pro-series return unless you used the 2022 program. It would have used 2023 tax rates, etc.
obviously the bottom line was different but AGI the same which is what I wanted
I'm using the desktop version. Don't understand the suggestion of starting a new return. My question is how to edit data already entered..in case I made a mistake, or get an amended tax document.
Switch to Forms mode and delete Schedule D and 1099B and any other worksheets and schedules that were generated from stock sales.
I suggested starting a new return for 2023 because you might not get all the 2022 info deleted or edited out. The Desktop program can do unlimited returns. You don't need to use the same one. If you had recreated your 2022 return in the 2022 program you could have transferred 2022 into 2023 to start 2023 with all the previous info like names, employers, banks, etc.
You say to go to forms and delete all the existing forms associated with the stock sale to make changes! What the heck happened to the edit and delete buttons that were in the 2022 program? Unless I am missing something this is really a step backward.
Yes, you should have the "Edit" and "delete" options on the "Investment sales Summary" page to allow you to make changes to the sales entered in your Premier desktop product.
At the top left of your file click "Online" and "Check for updates" to ensure all updates are made. Then "Exit" out of your TurboTax file and sign back in.
Thanks for your reply. I have gotten updates and logged out then back in again but the edit and delete options still do not show. I do have a red box indicating that I need to make revisions but even that does not show completely. What I see is NEEDS REVI. It looks like it has been cut off and there should be more to the display that isn't being shown. Can you actually see them on your version and if so, could it be something with my iMac causing problems? I have used Turbo Tax for almost thirty years and never encountered a problem like this before.
I started a brand new return and went straight to stack sales and entered a sale. It does come up with an edit button in the sales summary, but there is no way to delete it that I can find short of deleting whole forms. No
Delete button! So, Im not sure why I cannot modify entries on my nearly completed return but it looks like if I start all over again I might be able to modify but not delete sales entries if I want to.
I encountered the exact same problem just now. Cannot edit my Investments. Can you suggest how to get around it?
In TurboTax Premier, you should be able to Review (Edit) OR Delete Investments from the Investments Sales Summary Page.
I do have Premier and I have the same problem - the review/edit/delete buttons do not show. Obviously part of the screen is cut off. I just updated the program this morning. I have done this for years and have not seen this issue before.
I have exactly the same problem (no edit/delete options). Have you been able to figure out how to fix this?
Do you have a scroll bar at the bottom? One user found he had to scroll over to see the delete button. Is your screen maximized?
