I have purchased TurboTax Home&Business 2022 from Costco. Based on this page https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/home-and-business.jsp, it seems to come with free telephone support.
However when I call the support hotline 1-800-446-8848, the automatic system asked for my phone number to lookup my account. Then it told me that I don't have any product that is eligible for phone support. I'm not looking for tax advices. I just have some questions on the technical side, such as e-filing.
After I purchased TurboTax from authorized reseller, how shall I "register" the product so that we can get phone support? Thank you!

Yes you can contact customer support or you can ask questions here in the user forum. You cannot get the "Live" expert tax help that only comes with the online versions of TurboTax Live.

Then it's false advertisement. The product page for desktop version clearly states it comes with "free telephone support".
As long as you activated your software by entering the license code, your product should be registered. Please see the below TurboTax Help Article for assistance with reaching TurboTax Customer Support.
The software is activated (with a license code). However, it didn't ask for phone number or name during activation. How does it associate the license with a specific caller?
