I'm using Mac Desktop Turbotax Premier (latest update).
We received a late 1099B, so trying to do an amended return. On the page on Wages & Income / Stocks / Add more sales / Stocks (1099-B). When I press Continue on this screen I end up on a blank page where I can't do anything.
Not sure how to proceed.

A few folks have had issues with buttons off-screen on a MAC
Look for scroll bars that allow you to left-rt scroll, or up-down scroll....or see if the arrow keys on the keyboard move you to another place.
Something else to check. ...Is to just hit the tab key to see if it jumps to some new section/selection.
Thanks for the quick response. This is the desktop version, so there's no scroll bars. I did try tab, but didn't do anything.
Sorry, can't help without having a MAC myself.....jsut what I've seen in this Forum over the past two months.
Other MAC desktop users indicated they could see more of the selections with scrolling...somehow...within the blank window....but your problem might be somewhat different.
Also, for others who might respond, and perhaps DO have a MAC....please indicate your MAC OS version, and with chip it's using. Intel or the new one (Forgot what it's called)
Thanks.
And FYI, Intel Mac, latest MacOS Ventura 13.6.4. latest updates on turbotax.
Same exact problem no joy with amending a return with a new 1099-B, hope there is a fix soon as will be doing by hand... errrr
I am having the same problem. M2 Macbook Air running Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71). First screenshot is from opening my accepted 2023 return and clicking Federal Taxes->Other Tax Situations->Amend a return-> Wages and Income->Update 1099B which shows "Your investment sales summary" from the return I filed. I then click "Add more sales" and select stocks to get the first screen shot below. Then click Continue and the TurboTax Desktop application goes to the blank screen (second screenshot below). Is anyone from Turbo Tax on this forum who can respond? Amending a 2023 form with a forgotten 1099B seems pretty standard and I'm guessing many people are having or will have this issue.
Were you able to resolve your issue here or are you still needing guidance?
Make sure you have ran all updates.
If using TurboTax Online: Clear your cache and cookies. See this FAQ, for your particular browser.
If using TurboTax Desktop: Please see this FAQ.
If you still are not able to solve this, please call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
This issue is still not resolved. It looks to be a bug in turbotax Mac (I have Premier).
I did call customer support, they said that the bug is not currently filed in their system. they asked me to deinstall, reboot, and reinstall. I did, and the bug is still not there. Turbotax support closed my case, and so they aren't working on it.
Probably need others that are seeing this to call customer support and see if maybe squeaky wheel can get it to the point where they actually have their software teams look at it. So, far turbotax support has been pretty terrible.
I have not encountered anyone before who had a completely blank screen when trying to get to the investment summary. Others have reported that the screen is too large and they couldn't see the Edit button.
To get to the investment summary screen, go to your Income tab, select choose what I'll work on, scroll down to Investment Income, and click Update next to the item you wish to change, such as "stocks..." This will get you to the Investment Summary screen. See screenshot (from a Mac):
Some Mac users are reporting issues with the screen size in certain areas of the program in that the button needed is not showing on the screen.
You could try using the arrow buttons on the Mac to see if the display you need is outside your viewable screen.
To adjust the resolution on your screen, you could try the steps on this Apple Support page:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Select the display you want to adjust, then select the resolution you want to use. You may be able to turn on “Show all resolutions” to see additional resolutions for the display.
Depending on how you adjust the resolution, some app windows may not fit entirely on the screen. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.
In the alternative, you could hook up a separate monitor to your Mac to see if this resolves the issue.
@lewandenid and @gagorp
Tuesday April 2 2024. I have this same problem with a blank 1099-B screen. Running latest turbotax on intel macbook that is running macOS Ventura 13.6.6 (the latest available for this mac).
I've tried everything both from this thread and by turbotax support. It is almost certainly a bug in the Mac version, but I haven't even got Intuit to file it as a defect into their engineering team. So, would suggest that others try to call into support to see if through numbers we can get it escalated into engineering.
Will do.
Can you post the phone #?
I found the phone number but how do you get past the blasted bot.
