Did you file a 1040-SR last year?
Yes, I filed a 1040-SR in 2020.
The 1040-S does not import into Turbo Tax, as stated here.
You would need to manually enter in all your information to file the current year return.

@CarissaM That link says to Transfer into Windows Desktop. I assume it would be the same for Online? And what about transferring from a .tax2020 1040SR file. Would the SR mess that up too?
@VolvoGirl Yes the SR version will not allow it to import into online or desktop.
Oh and it's not because it's a SR pdf. No Desktop pdf can transfer to online.
You won't be able to transfer a PDF from the Turbo Tax Desktop program, it must be a tax data file with a filename extension .tax2020.
You will need to have the .tax2020 file on your computer. If you used the Desktop program last year here’s How to transfer into the Online version, expand the blue link if you used the CD/download last year........
If you already started an online return you will have to clear it and start over to transfer. How to clear and start over
If you used the Desktop program before you may not like the online version. It has less features and no Forms Mode. You can only do 1 return. Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2021 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done. In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something. You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.
