I was able to complete 2019 Tax software back in July for the July 15th deadline (Covid); however, there was an error I made in my entries, to where I needed to consult with a CPA to resolve.
I ended up filing for an extension for October 15.
Now that I have returned to the 2019 file to edit and submit, I am trying to edit the section on the sale of Rental Property, but as of today, TurboTax Premier no longer allows me to edit what I had entered 3 months ago. It simply directs me to ADD additional rental property sales...and not to edit existing ones.
When I answer that I have "no new rental property sales to enter", it redirects me back to the 2019 Income Summary Screen.
Is there a bug in the recent software updates that might have inadvertently prevented edits, and if so, do I need to start a new return from scratch? I really don't want to do this but I have got to make this change and file ASAP!

See if this will clear up the problem you are experiencing if you are using a Windows based personal computer -
Close the TurboTax program and save the tax return
Right click on the TurboTax icon
Click on Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Check the box Run this program as an administrator
Click on Apply and then on OK
Start the TurboTax program and see if the problem persists.
It’s OS based, for a Mac, so that won’t work. Thanks.
