I paid for the Deluxe version, made the payment, and started reviewing my return.
On a separate tab I accidentally clicked the link for the Free version. Now I can't get back to my Deluxe product which I've paid for. The "clear" option doesn't work as I've already paid.
How do I get back to Deluxe?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
I'm sorry you are having so much trouble.
If you are currently in the free edition of TurboTax, once you enter all of your tax information you will be upgraded to the deluxe version automatically if the information you enter requires the deluxe product to complete your tax return.
After you complete your tax return and go to file it, if you are being asked to pay for the deluxe product that you have already paid for, you can use the "Live Help" option on your screen to talk to an agent to resolve that issue.
You are not being able to reach a live person now because you are currently in the free edition of TurboTax, once you find yourself in Deluxe, you should be able to reach a TurboTax agent.
That's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

That doesn’t seem to work. I don’t think I have another account. I was asked to confirm switching my account into the free version, which I did.
I have only one account, but when logging in I can only access the Free version.
Did you maybe buy the Desktop CD/Download program instead of the online version?

Hi @VolvoGirl
Thanks, but I did not buy the Desktop program. I paid for online Deluxe, used it to prepare my return, and then somehow my product switched into the Free version which I cannot get out of.
I have been trying to contact customer service using every number I could get, including: [phone number removed], [phone number removed], [phone number removed], but cannot get any assistance whatsoever. The automatic system simply offers to send me an email with UNHELPFUL guidance. I need to speak to someone with actual tech support capacity, this is apparently an issue.
I don’t want to resort to disputing the payment made with my credit card company, but looks like I may have to.
Any thoughts? Thanks again
This FAQ will provide you the steps to contact an agent. https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number
Thanks @SForrestLO for your message.
I have already tried all the steps, links, suggestion in the link you provided. At this point I am really losing faith, it seems that these links leading to community answers stating that customer service is available “9 to 5” is simply misleading. I’ve called every possible number with the same results: the automatic system offers to send an email or a text message (neither are at all helpful) which contain generic guidance and a telephone number I’ve already used. There are no agents, It’s just an endless circle and a complete waste of time. How do you suggest I resolve this? At this point I am not getting what I paid for, and no one is accountable. Any other ideas?

Thank you very much @ThomasM125.
I will get back to you if any issues arise following this suggest route.
I wonder what happens in case I am not requested to upgrade (in the event that my information does not necessitate an upgrade)... do you think TurboTax will refund the unnecessary payment made, if I end up filing using the Free version I now have?
Yes, they will refund the payment if not necessary, assuming you paid for the online version of TurboTax.
