Question

Now that Turbo Tax will no longer include It's Deductible, will the cost of the software decrease?

The price of Turbo Tax should decrease if we can no longer use It's Deductible to record and import deductions.

my guess is that it won't.  many users of Turbotax did not use I.D. but paid the same price as those that did.  I.D. was free.

No one in the user forum will know anything about the upcoming pricing or fees, but my opinion is that it is highly unlikely that the discontinuation of Its Deductible will result in a fee decrease.   Since the tax laws changed from 2018 and beyond, there are far fewer people who can even itemize deductions; they just use their standard deduction.   In the grand scheme of things, entering charitable donations has little to no effect for most people.

The It's Deductible program was a free online tool  that could be transferred into the TT program so  I doubt there will be any reduction in the TT fee  for the discontinuation of an already complementary tool.  And I am sure the lack of users since the 2018 tax law changes  is why the program is no longer being supported.
