You need to fix program getting stuck in a loop asking for an Apartment Number. My daughter and our Grandchildren live with us, a single family residence, so her filing does not include being a homeowner so the program asks for an Apartment Number during checks even at final filling and will NOT accept a blank entry. We had to enter none before we could proceed and file . I am sure we are not the only family with this situation. This is not the first year you have had this problem with your program.

Thank you for sharing this information. We will work to resolve this issue for others that might be having a similar experience in the program.
This is still a problem and has not been fixed.
For further details: the primary problem is that when you enter your address info in the form, if you delete the apartment number, it does *not* remove the "APT" selection from the state income tax form (at least not for Oregon, which I just completed). The easiest fix is for TurboTax to simply unlock the "APT, Suite, etc" dropdown selector (the selector and text input should be considered a field grouping), so when the form is flagged in review as needing an apartment number, users can simply change the dropdown to remove the apartment.
Per other forum posts on this issue, putting "n/a" bypasses the review and allows you to file, but that means I just filed with an address of "123 EXAMPLE AVE APT N/A". I'm assuming this won't cause any major issue, but I expect Intuit's support if I get in trouble with my state's revenue service.
@gitbisect The information on the federal return is carried over to the state return. You have to make personal information changes on Federal in TurboTax.

Yes. And this is where the error in your software lies. When you make that change on the federal, it will remove the apartment number in the state form, but not change or clear the dropdown selection for "APT".
To replicate the error:
This is happening to me as well. Spent over an hour on the phone with TT this morning and was told they had never seen this come up before, however this is clearly not true because a simple google search suggests this has been happening for years.
I don't know what the glitch with the program is but I will also be forced to put n/a or none in the apartment portion which is completely idiotic, and incorrect.
TT - you really need to figure out how to fix this. I re-entered my W2s manually and re-entered all my *non*apartment addresses to no avail. Super frustrating waste of time.
This is still an issue.
This is still an issue with the state form. I've tried updating my profile address several times (homeowner) but continue to get an error in my state return that the apartment number is missing. I guess I'll try "N/A" in the APRT number text box as another user suggested, but quite frustrating that there's not an option to list your type of residency anywhere....
Yes that would be best to put NA.
Please let us know if you still need assistance @Tiffany B.
Replying to my comment from last year to confirm this is still an issue with Turbo Tax state forms.
Still an issue. I'm unable to e-file my state return because of this. I do not have an apartment number and there is no place to alter this in my profile.
Were you able to solve your issue?
If not, please call TurboTax Customer service. Here is a link: Turbo Tax Customer Service
No it's been an ongoing issue for multiple years. I've submitted a help ticket 3 or 4 years in a row now but no fix. I've even moved several times (from a single family home to another single family home), deleted and entered a new address but the software continues to act like I'm missing an apt number on the state form. I'm at the point of looking for another method to do my taxes.
No. And it wouldn’t allow me to e-file my state taxes. I had to mail them in. After several years of multiple people pointing this out, someone needs to fix the software. Please.
I found a workaround! In the state field, simple hit the space key, and that took care of it! The error cleared!
