Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Yes. And this is where the error in your software lies. When you make that change on the federal, it will remove the apartment number in the state form, but not change or clear the dropdown selection for "APT".

To replicate the error:

  1. Enter an address into Federal including an apartment number. e.g. 123 Main St. Apt 1 (In my specific instance, this was pulled from last year's information)
  2. Go to State and run the review. Everything should be fine.
  3. Go back to Federal and update the address by removing the apartment. e.g. 123 Main St.
  4. Go back to State and run the review. You should now get an error that Apartment number is required. When viewing the form you'll see that it's set to 123 Main St. Apt [blank]. The review will let you enter the number, but not update the selector for "Apt" to blank. And this is what is causing the error.
