Per USAA : 

 

In order to qualify for the available TurboTax discounts, you must access TurboTax through usaa.com before completing your tax return. There are links to TurboTax found throughout usaa.com where your discount will be applied when you submit your completed return to the IRS.

 

If you filed your return using TurboTax and accessed it via usaa.com and did not receive your discount, TurboTax will need to research your transaction. In order to do so, please contact the USAA tax line at 800-531-6347 and say "tax questions" at the main menu. Please be prepared with the following information:

TurboTax order number (can be found in your e-mail inbox)First and last nameComplete addressE-mail address used when signing into TurboTaxTelephone numberUSAA number

How do I get my TurboTax affiliate partner discount?

 

To get your partner discount, make sure to prepare your taxes at the special TurboTax site provided by your bank, credit union, or insurance company – not at TurboTax.com, which charges the non-affiliate price.

  1. Go to the special website provided by your bank, credit union, or insurance company and select the TurboTax link or icon.
    • This will take you to the special TurboTax-branded affiliate site with the discounted pricing.
  2. Select your product, sign in, and start on your tax return.
  3. When you get to the Review your order screen (in the File section) you'll see the discounted price along with the message Your discount has been applied.

Please note that our agents are unable to apply or issue refunds for affiliate discounts if the return was prepared at the regular TurboTax.com site.

I have been a USAA member for several years, longer than I have been using Turbo Tax, I have never received a discount for being a USAA Member. I have ask about a Military Discount and been told there is none. 

In addition I called TurboTax on 11-2-2021 and spoke to Geoffery, who did an excellent job helping me. We updated my billing information, my billing and shipping address and product to be sent out. 

At the conclusion everything looked correct. Tonight I received an email from Turbo Tax with the wrong quantity and price, as well as the wrong shipping address. 

I ordered one Turbo Tax Deluxe the same order I have  had since 2007. Your email said I had two Turbo Tax Deluxe for $140.00 , The Agent on the phone told me the cost was $59.00 your email quoted $70.00 times two for $140.00. Please correct this immediately before it is charged to my credit card. The second issue is that we changed my billing and shipping address to my new home in Florida. Your email did show the billing address correct, but the shipping address was the old residence in Martinez, GA.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.   Only customer support can help with billing issues.   And----this is a public user forum that can be seen by anyone using the internet.  Luckily the filter removed some of the personal information you tried to post here, but it did not remove your name or your address.

 

This is a public web site that can be seen by anyone—including scammers and would-be identity thieves who would love to contact you and pretend to be from TurboTax.  Please remove the personal information you posted here ASAP by returning to your post and clicking the three little blue dots on the upper right to edit your post.

 

 

As for the discounts you are seeking---it sounds like you are confused by the discounts offered for using online software and the CD/download.   The military discount is offered for ONLINE software for active duty members of the military.   As far as I know there is no military discount offered for the CD/download.   

 

When you choose the CD/download, there are often discounted prices offered by retailers such as Costco, Amazon, Sam's Club, Best Buy, Staples, etc. etc. and you might find a better price there.

 

 

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue.  If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help.  Do not use the word “refund.”

Go back into your account and see what is in the orders section ... it is possible that you did not delete one of the orders and just added a second one.  It is also possible that the email was sent using the old information and not what you just updated.  

 

If you have a TurboTax Advantage account (automatic renewal) take the following steps:

  • Sign into your Turbo Tax Advantage account;
  • Under Your Product, select to Remove Product.  
  • Once you remove the recurring product order, the Turbo Tax Advantage subscription will be cancelled as well.
