My return keeps getting rejected. Can someone please help me fix it?

The irs told me twice that it’s not on there end. They don’t even see me as filing and being rejected. They say it must be a software thing but I’ve tried 2 different tax preps so far. In the end they said I may just have to mail it in.

My return keeps getting rejected. Can someone please help me fix it?

Mine keeps doing the same thing. I do have the 1095A form and submitted everything accurately. After being rejected 4 more times I deleted the form and re-submitted and got another rejection code telling me that I Need to add the form as if the IRS has info. I only tried to delete it because I was not going to owe anything to the irs, or marketplace. This is so Frustrating. FyI. it told me February 3rd as well in regards to an automatic correction. SMH.

This is ridiculous. It is an internal error with turbo tax and the system is miscalculating the information for form 8962. Once you submit info from your 1095A, the system automatically generates the info for form 8962. However, if you look closely the system is rounding the monthly amounts you entered from your 1095A which is causing incorrect amounts and percentages to show on your 8962 form. If you go to the IRS website, you can see the form and instructions listed on how to fill out your own 8962 form. If you follow the calculations from the instructions vs your 1095A info, you’ll see that Turbo Tax is calculating everything wrong and I believe that may be why the irs is rejecting. I have been trying for almost 2 weeks to correct and file and have been waiting on my advance I have been filing with turbo tax for YEARS and I cannot believe a system error like this has taken so long to fix it is really starting to upset me especially since I am being charged to file. Nobody in customer service can help you either it may or may not be fixed by Feb 3rd.

We have a new help article to assist those who are receiving reject code: F8962-070; you may review it here.

If you do not have a need to file form 1095A, please follow the steps below:

  • When revisiting the section the default answer is still set to yes but the 8962 and 1095A are not part of the return.
  • If you select yes you will be prompted to enter the 1095A information and you cannot continue leaving the full form blank as an error will be presented.
  • Now you will not be prompted with the yes/no question to receiving the 1095A and will see your entry with options to edit/delete the entry.
  • Delete the 1095A entry and both the 1095A and 8962 will be removed from the return.
  • If you revisit the section again, the default will be yes however the forms are removed.
  • Now, select No, e-file your return, and if you are rejected, then the IRS requires your 1095A in the return.
