@EbonyA What do you mean you won't be prompted with the yes/no? I absolutely was prompted with this. This isn't clear and doesn't seem to line up.
I added "1095-A information" and deleted the information.
I was also rejected yet again this morning. I'm just getting more frustrated at this point. It ALWAYS defaults to yes. When the heck are they going to fix this? I do not have a 1095-A. There is no 1095-A to share with the IRS. I'm paying you guys to make this easy. I'm paying for this to go through and it seems like TurboTax is the problem. The IRS said so. Fix the dang problem.
If you are still getting the Rejection Code F8962-070, this could be because a dependent you are claiming appears on a 1095-A. Are you still receiving this rejection now?
How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070?
I have clicked no every time when it asks about 1095-a and I still get rejected for not having that form. I won’t ever have it because I never had insurance. I’ve tried adding it and deleting it and still didn’t work. The irs says they can’t see that I’ve even been rejected on their side. I did see something about needing an aca explanation but I don’t know what that is.
If my ex-wife uses the marketplace (and would likely get a 1095-a) for my children but I am claiming them, how do I resolve that? could be that the IRS knows the kids are on the marketplace insurance?
Maybe you guys could add a little page where it gives us a chance to add an “ACA Explanation” and maybe make the “no” option work. You know, have it do something. Or, perhaps since we’re paying you, have someone verify the returns for free before they’re sent off. There has to be a way to address this immediately.
@philgli Hmm well I think. The marketplace reports information to the IRS so if your wife gets insurance through the market place and they children are on the plan the irs would have that information but I believe she would claim what’s on the 1095A on her tax return because the insurance policy and tax credit for the plan is in her name so the 1095A would be in her name as well. If you claim the children but didn’t have a marketplace insurance plan then you won’t have a 1095A to report. If that makes sense? Lol
No one and I mean no one filled out an application for had health insurance. The whole thing is a scam. If they don't fix this glitch because it's a glitch whether they want to agree or not I'm going someplace else.
This actually worked for me. Thanks so much!!!!!
TurboTax: “Your tax return was rejected. We’ll help you fix and resubmit it.”
Narrator: “They didn’t help fix it at all and mostly ignored the issue despite multiple rejections.”
Can you please provide the rejection code?
@MichelleLO F8962-070
But I have no 1095-A. We had Medicaid/no insurance. I called the IRS, TurboTax live, Medicaid, the marketplace, and everywhere else I could think of. It was verified that I don’t have one and don’t need one.
But, something about your software is making it so that it is rejected. I’ve tried every trick in this thread and it keeps sending it back and keeping the “did you receive a 1095” on yes rather than taking no for an answer.
The IRS said it wasn’t on their end. Maybe if you set up a form where we can put in an 8962 or a binary attachment with description containing "ACA Explanation" on the return so they will accept it would be great.
How, after SEVERAL attempts at your “fixes” I haven’t had someone look at it and fix it so that it includes all that is needed is beyond me. Or maybe a discount on the upfront cost of paying for the software so I can print and send them off without it breaking the bank when COVID has destroyed by finances would be great.
I’m in the same exact place and have no clue how they haven’t figured this out yet. I also somehow ended up on the premium program and they are trying to charge me for state although I don’t file state in Florida. They want me to pay $200 and can’t even help me fix this. I’m mailing mine out tomorrow.

I'm having the same issue as others regarding my return being rejected because of form 8962. I don't have a 1095-A and indicated that on the return. I've updated Turbotax, and refiled the return 7 times. It still says rejected. Can anyone help?
They still haven’t figured out the issue it’s crazy. I’m filing through a different tax site. Forget turbo tax! H&R Block, and taxfreeusa have been approving them with no issue!
