Each browser has a slightly different method for deleting cookies. Choose the browser you're using:
A full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax, so sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files).
Here are the official instructions for the most popular browsers:
Apple's official support site doesn't appear to contain instructions for clearing the cache in Safari. Your best bet is to search the Internet for clear Safari cache or similar search terms.
Turbo Tax is an absolute mess. I've been unable to file my taxes and will not have to redo my taxes AGAIN using another software package. TurboTax used to be a great program. Not anymore.
When you clear your cache and your cookies, you also clear most of you passwords. Most frustrating. If there is a way to do it without it affecting your passwords great. Tell me how.
@Denvergal You posted to a thread about e-filing problems. What are you trying to do? You are way too late to e-file a 2019 return and way too early to e-file a 2020 return.
The above question is not mine. I replied to your comment about clearing your cache and cookies.
I want to simply print a copy of my 2019 tax return. It was accepted months ago- I just want a copy.
I sign into my account and I press enter four blue circles circle forever. I did them online and when I follow the instructions for general printing it goes into the page where I can see my 2019 return but it's listed under CD - I did them online. When you scroll down it gives you the option of going to your online account - press go- blue dots appear and never stop.
I've been trying for at least 2 hours now and earlier in the day. I have reset my password twice now and it has asked me to do this several times.
I had a very old account user name: denvergal but it gives me an email address so old. So I tried my phone number and it returned my email address which I have been using all night and it wanted me to set-up a new password. I've already set-up two tonight. I am so frustrated.
Earlier today I finally asked for them to print my whole file. That was soooo simple why couldn't I have picked out what I wanted from there? It may take 45 days.
I have searched all over my house and my files I can't find a copy. I have checked every thumb drive I could find.
Going crazy Lynn
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURN !
EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.
