You will want to match the name from your current Social Security Card in your tax return. The IRS will be matching against the Social Security Administration data to verify the return.
I miss spelled my last name on my 2020 Tax return. I didn't notice the mistake until after the IRS received my tax return. The IRS check your refund says that my return is being processed. They have had my return since March 23,2020. Should I file Form 1040X and submitted or should I wait for the IRS to contact about my error
Do I file Form 1040X and send it to the IRS?

Wait for the IRS to notify you by mail about the error. Then follow the instructions in the IRS notice.
There is also a possibility that the IRS may issue the refund if your SS number and the first four characters of your last name are correct on the tax return.
Can I please call someone to explain my problem. The messages from are not helping me.
It takes the IRS about six months to process an amended return---so amending is not the way to fix your issue---if you even have an issue to fix. It is not at all unusual that you filed in late March and have not received your refund yet. Lots of refunds are taking much longer than the "normal" 21 days now. There are people who have been waiting since January and February.
One little typo on a letter of your name may not have any effect at all. If your Social Security number is right, then it will likely go through. Have you looked yet on the IRS refund site?
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS. Many refunds are taking longer during the pandemic. The IRS is backlogged —-they are still trying to process millions of 2019 returns; they received millions of e-filed on the day they opened for 2020 returns, and now they are burdened with sending out another round of stimulus checks.
Some delays are resulting from incorrect amounts that folks entered for stimulus checks they received. Many people have been confused by the recovery rebate credit and completed it incorrectly. The IRS may delay your refund while they cross-check to see what you received. Some refunds are delayed because of the tax law changes that went into effect recently. If your return has unemployment or the premium tax credit on it, that may be delaying it.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 34of your 2020 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Since the IRS only looks at the first four letters of your last name if those are correct the return will be processed and the refund will be issued. You do not amend a return for a misspelling in this situation, next year just make sure to make the correction in the program before you file.
