Fully agree with you. Time to move on from TT.
Yep. I just cancelled my TurboTax Advantage annual subscription plan. No more November "head's up" emails saying Intuit is about to charge my credit card for the next year's tax software.
Now to decide between H&R Block, or one of the littler guys.
What's it like using TaxAct? The first reviews I found (not many yet) were 2/5 star because of customer service was lacking. How'd it go for you to use it?

Can donations be entered at the time they are made?
According to the web page describing it, if you guys find it, the directions to enter Donation Assistant are via a tax return. So no, that would be the following year, similar to DeductionPro.
I suppose it's still better nothing though
I got excited about TaxAct for a moment there, because I hadn't heard of that Donation Assistant yet. Unfortunately, looks it like the HR Block that is in the tax software.
But I have an idea, what if we all email Tax Act and HR and ask them to make their donation assistant available online in advance (for all the reasons we previously mentioned)? Maybe another company would be willing to spin off the deduction part of the software and take on some new customers.... just send them the link to this thread.
You might be better off concentrating on TaxAct since it is a much smaller organization than H&R Block, although the likelihood of success with either is probably very small.
Just tried to enter deduction and can only print summaries. It's Deductible is no longer live.
Correct ... the program is no longer functional for 2022 entries and I do believe the 2021 will also not allow any new entries.
Well Critter I certainly hope the kind folks at the Intuit offices are enjoying screwing us all over. I am 75 years lad and have seen some bad customer service in my time. But this takes the cake.!
Can you please post here as to what you find? So many of us are now searching for alternatives.
Thanks!
I'm 74 and I agree.

There are only two and they have already been posted.
I found something that said that It was free and could be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. This doesn't seem to work for my laptop. I tried to find the site again and couldn't.
Is Biden trying to eliminate charitable contributions? This is the type of shenanigans he would do.
I've been using TT and ItsDeductible since at least 2006. One of the reasons TT is rated well as being easy to use was due to ItsDeductible. Now that it's no longer supported, TT just lost an important part of its useability. If someone finds an alternative to either TT or ItsDeductible, please post!

Read through this thread. You will find two other products mentioned; Donation Assistant and DeductionPro.
