I just got off the phone with my rep over at intuit and they told me that they are aware of the issue and that they are actively working on the issue. I was told that it isn't a bug in the installer of our version, but an issue with the activation server connection. No need to kill you firewall, antivirus, or other malware protections. No need to clear cache or cookies either. I was advised to try the software again tomorrow or in a couple days as they plan to have the issue resolved ASAP. I hope this helps everyone.
Same with me, can not activate, says No Internet connection. Yet I can post to this forum ok. Just downloaded Turbotax Premier 2024 online and can not activate it. Tried all the usual suspects, re-install, reboot, firewall enable/disable, etc., etc. Must be an Intuit system issue.
Follow up... The error message was a lie. There was nothing wrong with the Internet, instead the server was down. Intuit needs to pay me for my time I wasted on this!
Tried again, and it worked OK. Their authentication servers must be back on line.
Same message here on my desktop computer but not on my laptop. Got the white screen on my laptop and changed to resolution to 800x600 and it loaded fine. Then changed it back to my normal resolution. Not sure why one computer and not the other.
This looks like it has been resolved. Please let us know if you continue with the problem.

I'm not aware of any server issues today. It's possible your Internet connection was just momentarily interrupted. Try exiting and then restarting TurboTax. If that doesn't work, try rebooting your device. If you are using wi-fi, try using a hardwired connection.
If you still see a no internet message, you might try these troubleshooting steps:
You might try logging out and back in, and using a different browser. Chrome generally works well.
Try clearing your cache and cookies. If after trying all of the options mentioned you still have the same problem:
See this help article and this one for instructions on how to contact TurboTax customer support depending on which product you are using.

I have been trying to get the program open for over TWO WEEKS and this internet error is preventing me from starting.
TT even had an update that I installed today and it still failed
TT team yes reboot, updates, cookies, and restart program (And any more of the worthless questions you are going to repeat instead of admitting their is a problem on your software or servers )
You could try a Manual Update.
Since we can't access your computer/modem figuration in this forum, the only ones that can do that are the techs. All we can do is report what has worked for other users in your situation. Many have temporarily disabled all anti-virus software (including modem) successfully. Make sure TurboTax and your return are on on your C drive to work properly.
Here's how to Contact TurboTax Support.
