If you have filed the 2024 tax return then you cannot change anything on return that was filed unless you amend the tax return.
If you have not filed the 2024 tax return, then clear cache and cookies on you web browser. If that does not solve the problem, then change your web browser to one of these you are not currently using, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge.
It’s not filed yet. Im still on process of entering data/records.
I accidentally input an energy credit carryover from 2023. I will receive it on my 2023 return. I can’t get TurboTax to allow me to remove the carryover from my 2024 return
I did not file my 2024 return yet

To enter, edit or delete Home Energy Credits -
Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
Click on Deductions and Credit
Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
Under Your Home
On Home Energy Credits, click the start or update button
Or enter energy improvements in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to energy improvements
I have gone all the way to review summary but NOT filed. I need to go back to enter a t5 bank interest. There is no back button, no search icon as you said in the previous response. Can I not go back from summary?
Yes, to add an interest income entry, click on Wages & Income to see a list of Income Topics.
Scroll to Investments and Savings, choose Add/Edit.
At the screen 'Lets Finish Pulling in Your Investments', scroll down to Add Investments.
On the import page, choose 'Enter a different way', then choose the Interest icon on the next screen, Continue.
For 'How would you like to upload your 1099-Int', choose 'Type it in myself'.
The next page opens to the entry boxes.
Previously responded to this message but I found out this is the US side of TurboTax. I'm in Canada.

You cannot use the Free Edition for itemized deductions. Only very simple returns using only Form 1040 with no extra forms or schedules can be prepared with the Free Edition. Medical expenses are itemized deductions that go on Schedule A along with other itemized deductions like mortgage interest, property tax, etc. If you are entering itemized deductions you are required to use paid version of the software.
MEDICAL EXPENSES
The medical expense deduction has to meet a rather large threshold before it can affect your return. The amount of medical (including dental, vision, etc.) expenses that will count toward itemization is the amount that is OVER 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. You should only enter the amount that you paid in 2024—do not include any amounts that were covered by insurance or that are still outstanding. Of course, your medical expenses plus your other itemized deductions still have to exceed your standard deduction before you will see a difference in your tax due or refund.
To enter your medical expenses go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Medical>Medical Expenses
2024 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $14,600 (65 or older/legally blind + $1950)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $14,600 (65 or older/legally blind + $1550)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $29,200 (65 or older/legally blind + $1550)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $21,900 (65 or older/legally blind + $1950)
