I filed my 2018 taxes with using Turbo tax. The license I Used expired 01/03/2020. I have an updated license to replace the expired license. So how can I edit the license?
If your e-filed federal return was accepted by the IRS, then you don't need to do anything. If it is rejected because of the license number issue, you'll have the opportunity to correct it and re-submit.
Driver's license information isn't necessary for your federal return.
However, without this information, the processing of your state tax return may be delayed, in certain states, and some states may not allow you to e-file without it.
Please see the TurboTax Help article “Why are you asking for my driver’s license or state ID?” for more information.
If you haven’t already filed your return, please see this previous guidance on editing your driver’s license information.
