I've tried multiple times, but I've been unable to have Turbo Tax convert info from my 2019 HR Block 1040SR to Turbotax 2020. Is the issue that I'm now using 1040SR?

I'll go back to HR Block if it isn't designed to work with 1040SR, but the first line in the sales lit. is that it will convert from HR Block.  Decided to try it last year, but want to come back (but won't if they misrepresented its capability...).  I've tried pointing TT2020 to
the HR Block 2019 pdf files...

I've tried the methods identified when the program doesn't find the HR Block files 10 to 15 times:

When 'starting' a return, I point to the HR Block 2019 return pdf.  One distinction is that I'm a senior

and it did not create a conventional 1040, my return was a 1040SR (which replaced 1040EZ?).

I suspect that Intuit hasn't built this capability into TT, and just expect me to re-enter everything.

I will likely bite the bullet and go back to HR Block, rather than deal with complete re-entry of all data.

I'm hoping that Costco will refund my purchase price.

I am having the same issue: my 2019 HR Block PDF file is not being imported.  How can TurboTax advertise they can import from HR Block, if this feature is not working?  I would like to see a response (and solution!) from TurboTax support.

@sls56   What are you trying to transfer the pdf into?  Turbo Tax Online version or the Desktop CD/Download program?

You need to have the actual electronic pdf file not a printed or scanned copy.  But a pdf only transfer very basic info like your name and AGI. Be just as easy to manually enter all your info.  So it's probably not worth even trying to transfer it.
