I'm getting a software glitch when I try and enter my W-2. It won't let me go past the box 1 for wages. Anyone else having this problem and is there a solution?

It says "hmm, looks like we've hit a snag" and then it still won't let me enter

If you are using TurboTax Online, please try logging completely out of the TurboTax website, then clear your browser's cache and delete cookies. A full or corrupted cache can keep TurboTax from functioning properly. If that doesn't work, try a different browser.

 

If you are using TurboTax CD/Download software, please make sure that your software is up-to-date.

I'm getting a software glitch when I try and enter my W-2. It won't let me go past the box 1 for wages. Anyone else having this problem and is there a solution?

I was using the Premiere version I installed from the CD, and the software updated a few minutes before I started working on my taxes.  I tried many times unsuccessfully to enter my W-2.  After I entered my wages in box 1, it would give me the error message and tell me to go back and try again, but each time I repeated it, it would double the taxes I owe and give me the same error message.  I did call your customer service last night and they told me to try back in an hour.  I did that and still the same problem.  I'm assuming I can't be the only one having this issue.  Please let your software team know! Hopefully it works soon or I may have to buy another company's tax software. Thanks.
