@burgerpriest Sounds like you did not transfer the 2020 tax file to the new 2021 return when you started it. Since you have the desktop software it would be easy for you to start over. Choose start new return and then follow the steps to transfer 2020 in to 2021:
You have to do that transfer before you enter any new 2021 information.

No. Sorry the license for the CD/download cannot be used to "pay" for the use of online TurboTax. Why do you not want to use the download? The download has more flexibility, you can navigate it more easily, it has forms mode, and you can prepare more than one return for the fee.
Sorry no. You can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program and License Code to the Online version. They are separate prices and work different. Why can't you use the Desktop program? It has more features than the Online browser version.
I filed my taxes in previous years using TurboTax online, and I've noticed that it auto-completes all the required fields for me. When I was using the TurboTax Premier, I need to re-enter all the data that is already present in the TurboTax online version.

Since you already started an online return and it transferred from 2020 then it should be easy to move your new online 2021 return into the Desktop program you bought. See under #2. Switch to the Desktop program.
If you used the online version last year and need to transfer your info to this year's Desktop version there are 2 ways depending on what you have.
1. If you saved the actual .tax2019 file (not just the pdf file) to your computer before online was shut down in Oct. then start a new return and the very first thing you do is Transfer from .tax file. You can only transfer at the very beginning. You should be able to download the .tax2019 file from online, like if you were going to amend.
2. If you didn't save the .tax file to your computer or lost it, there is a way to do it by starting a 2020 return in the Online version, transfer to that and then continue in the desktop version. You won't have to pay for Online.
