I bought the turbo tax cd but I need to download. Does the cd come with a code to download from the internet?

Yes, I (Robert Chen) bought a TurboTax CD, but the CD does not asks me to input my license code; I couldn't install and activate the software. I have already had an account with TurboTax before. I have the code for the CD but your software does not ask me to input the code.

Do you have the 14 digit License Code?  It doesn't ask for it until after you install the CD and then when you start the program.

I have Windows.  I Got a little worried when it didn't ask to Activate when installing.  But when it was done I clicked on Launch Now and the first thing the Activate box popped up and Entered the code.  If you are having trouble installing from the CD you can download the program instead.

@ge09181947 This is a public internet forum. Your license code has been removed so that no one else can you use your product but you.  

You can download your software directly from TurboTax.

1. Go to InstallTurboTax.com.

2. Set up a TurboTax account if you don't already have one. If you do, sign in. (If you don’t remember your credentials, you can walk through our Account Recovery page to see if you already have an account.)

3. Enter your license code in the pop up window.

   • It’s a 16-character combination of letters and numbers (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) that can be found on your CD box insert, envelope, or packing slip. (Note: The 2019 product has a 14-character code that looks like this: XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)

4. Select your operating system, and select Get Download.

5. Download your software and install.

   • When you get to the Your product is installed, now let's activate it screen, enter your license code in the License code box, and select Continue to complete installation.

Please click I bought the CD, but my computer doesn't have a CD drive to learn more.

Are you getting an error message?   What exactly happens when you try to complete the install?  Please respond here and someone will follow up in the thread with the next steps.

Do other CD work in the drive?  Maybe you put it in upside down?
