I am paying today, March 31, 2019, by debit card. When will this deduction from my bank account actually occur?

If you elected to have the funds auto-debited from your account and indicated that on your tax returns, it depends on with the IRS and/or your state actually process those funds. So it can take anywhere from the date you elected, up to 3 weeks after for the funds to come out depending on how fast the IRs and/or your state process and approve your return.

If you are paying online, the funds will be deducted immediately.
