Your refund was sent to your bank on January 29, 2020 for direct deposit. If you have not received your refund, take the following steps:     this is the result of the irs wheres my refund tracker    my money is SOMEWHERE  but not in my hands   you can see the date is january 29th  here it is now april  22 and nothing

It then tells you to call your preparer to verify the routing number .  Heres the issue   nobody answers first of all . I have 2 cards with the company but only know the information to the one card as i never received the one from this year . I can't get the new /important one re-sent on account of i don't know the number to the card or the routing information . NOBODY ANSWERS .   I have called the preparer and they can say yes there is two   and then they can confirm if i have the information correct or not   but cannot affect my ACTUALLY  getting a card replaced or resent.  I have been deemed non essential. so this money from taxes is REALLY needed.

just got off phone with fraud dept the only dept that had a person to wait for.  Can't help me still unless i mail them information i don't have  to an address i don't have  but hey  who needs to pay rent nowadays anyhow right ?   likely my last post as i've lost my job and losing my home soon would be nice to have some kind of assistance

How can I change my direct deposit information? I changed banks this year and need to update info

If you have not filed your return yet, you can make this change in the File section of the program.

If you have already filed your return and it has been accepted, you cannot make any changes to your return as it has already been transmitted to the IRS.  If your bank account is no longer there, the deposit will be rejected and your refund will be mailed on a paper check to the address on the tax return filed.

Once you have filed, this can not be changed.

Once a tax return has been e-filed it cannot be canceled, retrieved or changed.  The bank will reject the direct deposit if the account number is incorrect for the name on the refund, the bank will return the federal tax refund to the IRS.  The IRS will then mail the refund check to the address on the tax return.
