We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?
What is happening with your return? Is it being rejected? If so, what is the rejection code?
Husband died, there is SO much more going on than before and I just need his W2's. Period. No I don't want you doing it thank you
You don't have to use Turbo Tax. Just ignore any emails you get from them. You get his W2 from the employer. Turbo Tax doesn't have it.

TurboTax does not have a copy of the W-2.
If you cannot obtain the W-2 from the employer, then for a fee you can get a complete copy of a W-2 from the Social Security Administration - https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-02501
You can get a free Wage and Income transcript from the IRS - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return to include copies of W-2's, if you mailed the tax
return and included a paper W-2, from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf
See this IRS Tax Topic - http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc159.html
We are very sorry for your loss. You certainly do not need to use TurboTax if you do not want to. TurboTax does not have your spouse's W-2's. W-2's come from employers. You need to call the employers, email them, or even snail mail them to ask for the W-2's and give them the address to mail them to. Or if you have to, use the alternate methods of getting the W-2 information.
Just so you will know---wherever you prepare the 2023 tax return--- for the year in which your spouse passed away, you can still file a joint tax return. That will make more of your income "tax free" because you will still get the married filing jointly standard deduction of $27,700 (+$1500 for each spouse 65 or older). If you have a qualified dependent, you will be able to file as a qualified surviving spouse for 2024 and 2025 and get that higher standard deduction for those years too. If you do not have a dependent then for 2024 you will file as Single.
We wish the best for you during this difficult time.
When will Intuit release turbotax premier for 2024
@dprb The 2024 tax software usually becomes available in late November/early December.
