Hi, while filing the 2022 taxes (jointly) for me and my wife, I saw the question
"Did you overfund your HSA in 2021?"
and the explaining instruction said to look into 2021 return for the form 5329, so I downloaded the 2021 refund but I'm not sure how to check if the form 5329 was there - it contains 212 pages, so I did a search there for the text containing 5329 and fount only these:
1. In Schedule 2 (form 1040):
"Additional tax on IRAs or other tax-favored accounts. Attach Form 5329 if required", the corresponding box #8 is empty
2. In "Deductible and Non-deductible Tranditional IRA Contributions"
the line #15 says "Excess traditional IRA contributions, to Form 5329, line 15" but the both columns - Taxpayer and Spouse are empty.
3. In Roth IRA Contributions After limitations, the line #30 says "Excess Roth IRA contributions, to Form(s) 5329
line 23" where both - Taxpayer and Spose are empty
These were the only mentions of the 5329, does it mean my 2021 didn't include the form 5329 and therefore I should answer NO to the question "Did you overfund your HSA in 2021?" ?

Yes, it seems you didn't make an excess contribution to your HSA in 2021 since you don't have Form 5329 included on your 2021 tax return to calculate the penalty. You can answer "No" to the "Did you overfund your HSA in 2021?" question.
Usually, you get a warning if you made an excess contribution and instructions on how to fix it (remove the excess plus earnings by the due date). If you remove an excess contribution plus earnings before the due date then the answer would be "No" as well.
One additional piece of information that may help. Open up your 2021 tax return in your 2021 turbo tax app. Select FORMS in the upper right corner. You will see a list of forms that you filed with your 2021 taxes. If the form you are looking for is not there, you may need to take additional actions as stated here in other comments.
Thank you @rbloomda , while filing 2021 taxes I used TurboTax online only at which time I paid for TurboTax services, does it mean I still can download the desktop app and open my 2021 return there without paying any additional fees?
I found this page https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download but there is no simply "Download" button, instead it wants me to choose between paid options "Basic, Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business" and I have 2 concerns with that:
a) it is not clear if even I elect making those purchases - the app downloaded will allow to open my 2021 return to see the details you are talking about without paying for TurboTax 2021 services again.
b) I'm at the end filing my 2022 taxes in TurboTax online and I don't know if that is a good idea to "switch" to the desktop app at this time.
Thank you @DanaB27 , I looked into our 2021 W2s and I can see that total contribution to HSA there is constant - $6800 which proves we are below the limit for a family which, as I found, was above $7000 for that year.
