I need someone to understand the error codes in the turbotax software. NOT Tax help.
AppCrashes TTax when I close the app says Error 70001 TurboTax is already running under another account Switch Users and run TurboTax from the other account to continue.
Cannot connect and download W-2 data or any of my 1099's....
I use TTax to make life simple.
Where do we get help!?

@tjpsnj We understand that you are having an experience with your software running properly on your system. While in this public forum we are limited to diagnosing and servicing these types of issues, we do wish to try to provide alternatives and resolutions if we can do so.
The software is supported. The Error code you are receiving, as mentioned in the Help Article referenced, deals with a connectivity issue of some kind. This could be a firewall, but what is not mentioned in the article is a VPN. I personally am unaware of any specific issues related to VPN connectivity, but it is a possibility. If you normally connect via VPN, you might try a straight internet connection and see if that eliminates the error. If that does resolve it, please let us know.
I will escalate your issue for further research. Again, I want you to understand that we are limited in this forum to do so, because we do not have access to either your TurboTax account nor your computer access, and therefore you may be better served by calling back into our phone customer support and requesting to speak with someone from tech support as you have tried the published solutions we have available. However, if we are able to find any possible solutions on this end, we will be happy to share any additional suggestions.
Please do escalate. There have been no changes to this machine other than Microsoft Updates and related Security software. There have been no changes to the network aside from increases in speed and or current technology. v3.1 DOCSIS modem. The router the device is connected to is a 3200 series and a few years old. Switch ports all a 1 gig. Intel i7 X990 CPU system. Windows 21H2 and Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0. I will admit the X58 Chipset has a few years on it and is EOL by Microsoft in 2025 based on the physical fact there is no TPM on-board. Pretty amazing. I built this box in 2008.
Sorry if asking why after installing TurboTax 2021 required the Windows Defender Firewall to add apps is confusing for you.
I do believe an escalation is required. Before poking new holes in the firewall, the software would not register. After licensing the software, I continue to have all kinds of errors as indicated. The problem was never fixed. It continued to evolve. In addition, the logs in the user/appdata/roaming/intuit also contain 0x???????? errors of many kinds. These errors correspond with the software not believing it is legit and refusing to pull the W-2 for example. I have worked for the same company for 15 years. This is my 15th "TurboTax" return with that company. The W-2 is in the cloud along with the banks and firms I do business with.
Anyway I just want to finish my taxes. When completed, one of the first things I will do is begin the process of moving this use platform to a modern system/OS. Backups system design....... Among other things I need to get done around the house.
Any chance you can escalate and discover the logs you want so we can find the real issue? Uninstall is a possibility but I will want the instructions for a manual uninstall after the uninstall. TurboTax is installed 13 times from tax year 2009 to 2021 on this machine. My returns are backed up as well as Quicken.
Please advise.

I don't personally have great technical knowledge, but there is a lot of technical solution in the above article, and I am aware that with a home-built system and today's operating systems, there can be "crankiness" in the process between the hardware, the O/S, and TurboTax itself.
While I continue to escalate, please try all of the suggestions in the link I posted (there is a specific link for Windows 10), and tag me @DanielV01 when you have so I am notified, no matter if it works or if it does not.
I asked for manual removal instructions.

In escalation, I am asking for information that is not in the KB.
I thought I had been perfectly clear that I have used and exhausted the data in the KB.
Why do you continue to send links to the KB? Are you being obtuse for a reason?
Who can interpret logs the product creates and are not listed in the KB?

Your situation clearly needs a deeper examination that we are unable to perform in this public forum, but by transferring your situation, we are hopeful that you will get the full assistance you are requesting to have your connectivity issues resolved.
Do you think that "Other Team" will ever contact me?
I uninstalled TT and deleted all the remnants I could find in temp folders, AppData, Program Files and the registry. It continues to be "unable to Update". The W-2 did not pull but some of the investment bank info did.
I would really prefer the software be functioning properly when checking for accuracy.
