TurboTax updated last night and now Form 7206 for the self employed health insurance deduction is available for completion of the return and filing. There is no interview process (that I could find) specifically associated with 7206--the form is filled out from data from other places in the 1040.
A couple strange things:
1. On my return 7206 does not pick up health insurance costs entered from a 1095-A, just dental and vision insurance entered separately. The calculations behind the scenes are done correctly (that is, my "Amount Due" is correct), but the form itself does not have the correct amount in Line 1. (Note I also get ACA credits, and so the 1095-A premiums are allocated between SEHID and credits. Again, the calculations are done correctly (that is, my "Amount Due" is correct), but the amount on Line 1 of 7206 is wrong.) Am I missing something?
2. I'm not ready to file but I ran the final check on the return and as part of that process received the message that because I am filing 7206 I can't e-file. Will the ability to e-file be added before April 15?
