When I am finished with my state taxes, I am informed that Ohio requires my email address to be included with my submittal, but the email address listed is an old one and I cannot change it in TurboTax. The correct address is listed in my Intuit account.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You can update this through your TurboTax Account and this should populate on your Ohio return.
I followed the steps provided to change my email address in my Intuit account, changed it to a backup one I have, and Turbo Tax still shows my old, nonexistent address.
Try these steps:
I have the same issue. I've been on the support chat several times without a resolution. They told me that the email address on file with the state may be what is controlling this and that I'd have to contact the state to have them update the email address they have on file for me. Not sure if that is actually the problem though, I have not contacted the state yet. Have you found a resolution?
Did you try any of the steps mentioned by DianeW777 or LeticiaF1?
My email address with Intuit was already correct and I have verified that by checking the sign in and security page. I have deleted the OH state return and redone it and the email address is still incorrect. It's an old email that is no longer active, but one that I used to use. The field does not appear editable within TurboTax.
See if this helps. What if I'm having trouble with my filing verification code? and How do I get a verification code if the email address is wrong?
I'm not having trouble with verification codes in Intuit. I don't want to file with the wrong email and have issues with my state return.
