My e file was rejected because the AGI number from my 2020 taxes was wrong. I took the number off of my copy of last years taxes and got a transcript of my 2020 taxes from the IRS.....all of the numbers are the same. Is there an alternative method of proving who I am to the IRS which will allow me to e-file. Tried to go through the IRS phone maze, but that is impossible to follow and there are no live people available to talk too

There is a possibility that the IRS does not have your 2020 AGI in their database.
Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.
I requested a transcript and the transcript has the correct amount. Is it possible that they have the number in the transcript, but not in the data base?

Yes, it is very possible. Depends on when the 2020 tax return was processed by the IRS. If processed late in 2021 or early 2022 the AGI will not be in the database.
Return was filed in March of 2020 and check cleared in April of 2020
