Double reported income on both self employed and 1099

The income reported on 1099-NEC has also been included under self employed income. How to fix this so it isn't double counted?

Where did you enter the 1099-NEC in the program? You need to enter it only once.

Thanks for the reply. I entered it at the appropriate time, but that amount was already previously included in the amount QuickBooks imported to my return as income. So it looks like I made more than I actually did.  Not quite sure how to fix this.

Just delete the 1099NEC.  Just enter your total income as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income.  You don't need to get a 1099NEC or 1099Misc or 1099K.  Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash.  Only the total goes to schedule C.

Understood. You need to delete one or the other (probably just the 1099).

If you imported using QB, there should be no need to enter the statement a second time.

Only one is showing in the list of Income, but Turbo Tax is telling me I entered it twice.  I followed each step-by-step instruction, so how could this happen?  I do not see where I would have possibly entered it twice.
