Do I use the license at the end when I'm ready to file if I I have used TurboTax online for 8 years and this year I bought the license at BJ's.?

When you are installing the 2022 software that you purchased, CD or Download, on your personal computer, you enter the license code during the installation process.

You are posting from the TurboTax online editions which is not what you purchased.  There is no license code used with the online editions.  The online editions and the desktop software are totally separate program with different price points.

NO!  The License is for the Desktop program you install on your computer.  You can't apply it to the Online version.

Did you buy the CD or download from BJs?

Did you start an Online return?  You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.  If you already paid for the Online version you can ask them for the Desktop program. And you can buy a lower version Desktop program.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms.  You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.
